It is also served in a broad variety of flavors and styles. It can be eaten like ice cream in cups or cones. Various toppings and flavorings can also be added to this frozen dessert.

What is Ice Cream  

Ice cream is a frozen dessert. For a frozen dessert to be termed as ice cream, it should contain at least 10% of milk fats by weight. Ice cream is primarily made of milk, cream, and sugar. The milk percentage is typically higher than cream. In addition to these primary ingredients, various colorings, flavorings, and stabilizers are used. The process of making ice cream involves cooking the mixture of ingredients into a rich blend and then churning the mixture incorporate air. This process of blending air is called overrun. It is because of this aeration process that ice creams are often soft and fluffy. Ice cream typically has a content of fat calories than frozen yogurt.
